"I didn't find it hard to talk to them, it was easy, I wanted to volunteer to talk"

Ellie (14) on participating in 'Notes To Self'

T156 Digital film-making course with the Open University

Digital Film School

We were commissioned by the Open University to help produce a 10 week online digital film-making course. A highly practical course, students uploaded their films and commented on each other's work.

The media created for the course is freely available through a Creative Commons license. Click here for a full list of the podcasts.

Rick Goldsmith from Catcher spent three years working with Chris High to develop the course and then a hectic six months in the lead up to the first presentation writing content and making video tutorials. John Sinton of the OU Broadcast Unit worked alongside us.

The course was packed with information, exercises, forums and tutorials. The course suited enthusiasts and professionals who are finding making media is something they are being asked to do in their workplace, as well people thinking about going into the industry.

Chris and Catcher are currently thinking of other ways to get those learning materials out into the world.
